Nicholas Jones from Northamptonshire has a keen interest in Russia’s culture and history and therefore has decided to take on the role of adapting this novel to TV. He explains how he will be looking to film the novel based around Grand Duke Michael Romanov in the UK and is on the hunt for a stately home that can replicate Knebworth House, where the Grand Duke Michael lived for a while.

The Tv Adaptation was also mentioned in an article focusing on the main UK areas of Scarborough and Filey, which play a big role in the novel, as Grand Duke Michael starts his second life in the UK. Within the novel, allied war commanders and heads of state meet at The Grand Hotel in Scarborough and the Russian Crown Jewels are buried in Filey Bay.
